WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT JOHN GRAZIANI

Comments Fom Ed Gawlik,Jr.,- Southgate School Board President :

"John Graziani has been an asset to the city of Southgate, serving for several years on city council, including the position of president for 6 years.  I believe his leadership skills will help the entire Downriver area if elected as State Representative.  John is truly "down to earth" and is concerned with the day to day problems of the citizens he represents."

Comments From Retired Judge Donald Neitzel
 28th District Court:

"John Graziani is very well qualified to help us in this district.  I have known John since he was a young boy and he has always worked hard for himself and others throughout his life.  John has the background, experience, and work ethic that this region can be very proud of.  He is more than a name."

Comments from Dennis David-Former Mayor of Southgate:

"John has the experience at the city level to help our area through these hard times.  The other candidates do not have the same experience that John has.  We need a solid person representing us with city level experience!  WE NEED JOHN GRAZIANI!"

Comments from Paul Knott

Vice President Southgate School Board:

"I am supporting John Graziani for 13th District State Representative on August 5, 2008. John is an avid supporter of youth and the Southgate schools. Although there are also other members of our community running, John's time to move on with his experience is now. Lansing is messy and I believe that educational issues, as well as other key issues of our state, will be taken more seriously through John's leadership abilities."

"John Graziani is an unusually well-prepared Democratic candidate running in this Downriver race to replace term-limited state Rep. Barbara Farrah, D-Southgate. Graziani wants to better use community colleges to expand college access and cut student debt loads, which are a growing problem."-Detroit News-Thursday, July 24, 2008

"I have known John since he was 10 years old.  He grew up next door to us.  He was a joy to watch grow up.  He always loved baseball and was always respectful to our whole family.  I could not be any prouder of John if he were my own son.  My whole family feels the same way.  I know he will do a good job for Southgate and for our state."

ELECTED OFFICE BEING SOUGHT: STATE REPRESENTATIVE 13TH DISTRCIT

                                                     PARTY AFFILIATION:  DEMOCRAT

What moved me to run for office?
The fact that I have the experience and background to do a good job as State Representative. First of all, I have been practicing law for 18 years, have been a business person, union worker, and a council member for over 10 years. I have been one of the top vote getters in most of Southgate elections for council without spending a significant amount of money. Simply put, I have the background and experience that a voter can be very proud of. I am also the proud father of 2 children ages 13 and 7. I have been married to my wife, Mary Ann for 16 years who is an educator and a proud member of the Detroit Federation of Teachers.

Campaign Organization support:
I have the backing of many  highly respected city officials, businesses, organizations, friends, family, and many supporters throughout the downriver area, along with a grass roots campaign that will be second to none. I have a many, many supporters from my past campaigns, community involvement and many friends that I have met in Downriver. My campaign in organized with various supporters involved in helping with mailings, signs, advertisements, fundraiser, and distribution of literature. I have been highly successful in past campaigns with my campaign organization and support.

Campaign Financial plan:
My funds will come through fundraisers and donations from supporters. My plan is to spend responsibly, and while I will be hitting the campaign trail door to door to meet people personally, I will also have a good deal of money to advertise with mailings, signs, telephone campaigns, and ad campaigns in the newspaper. I can assure you I will be competitive financially.

Endorsements:
I have the endorsements of the Detroit News, highly respected local officials, and the Small Business Administration of Michigan Stamp of Approval.
